I provide confidential individual counselling and psychotherapy for adults aged 18 and over, with face-to-face sessions available from my private counselling room in Carlton as well as online and remote counselling.
I have particular experience working with trauma, PTSD, CPTSD, DID, EUPD, anxiety, neurodiversity and relationship difficulties.

My counselling practice is based at 40 Marhill Road, Carlton, Nottingham, NG4 3AH, approximately 15 minutes by car from Nottingham city centre and accessible by local public transport.
I work with clients from Carlton, Gedling and the wider Nottingham area. I do not provide home visits.

Trauma, PTSD & CPTSD
I work with adults affected by traumatic experiences and trauma-related difficulties. This can include childhood trauma, abuse, domestic abuse, controlling relationships, difficult past experiences and other events that continue to affect everyday life.
I have experience working with people affected by PTSD, complex PTSD (CPTSD), dissociation, dissociative identity disorder (DID) and emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD).
Anxiety
Anxiety can affect relationships, work, sleep, confidence and many other aspects of everyday life. Counselling provides an opportunity to explore what may be contributing to your anxiety, recognise patterns and develop different ways of responding to difficult thoughts, feelings and situations.
Neurodiversity & ADHD
I work with neurodivergent adults and have lived experience of receiving a later diagnosis of ADHD.
Counselling can provide a space to explore experiences such as masking, overwhelm, anxiety, shame, relationships, self-understanding and finding ways of having your individual needs recognised and met.
Relationship Difficulties
I provide individual counselling for adults experiencing relationship difficulties. This may include exploring communication, boundaries, trust, attachment, recurring relationship patterns, family relationships and the impact of past or present relationships.
I provide individual counselling rather than couples therapy.
About Elaine Bond
I am a UKCP registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with extensive counselling experience.
I began my counselling career with Childline and spent more than 10 years working as a counsellor and supervisor. I have also worked with SHE UK providing therapy for survivors of sexual abuse and have provided mental health and safeguarding support within further education and sport.
My qualifications include an Advanced Diploma in Relational (Integrative) Counselling, a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and a Foundation Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling, alongside additional counselling and therapeutic training.

Face-to-face & online counselling
You can choose face-to-face counselling at my practice in Carlton or remote counselling if attending in person is not practical for you.
Remote counselling is available through Zoom, WhatsApp, FaceTime and telephone, with text and email support where appropriate.
